Mostly Curse of Strahd

Centries ago there was a country called Barovia. It was ruled by forgotten kings. The Shadowfell bled into the material plane and created dark demiplanes. It engulfed all of Barovia. It was nearly forgotten, only remembered by some old scholars.

Curse of Strahd is set in Barovia. In the forgotten Relms, there is a material plane(planet) Toril. On it is a continet called Faerun. In the North-West of Faerun is the Sword Coast. Along the coast there are a few cities and towns. Some being, Waterdeep(city) and Daggerford(town). Our characters started out travelling on the 'Trade Way', heading North towards Daggerford passed the Misty Forest. They stopped for the night and awoke in another place.
